Frenectomies and laser biopsies
In our office we use a diode laser to do frenectomies or biopsies?
A frenectomy is a procedure where extra tissue under your tongue that holds your tongue in your mouth and does not allow you to speak or articulate your words is released.
Another frenectomy area is under your upper or lower lip. There is sometimes a muscle or piece of tissue that is holding your lip down preventing a full smile or it is too close to your gums and causing your gums to recede. This tissue is released to help in those situations.
